Sponsors help pay for this work. They never buy a better review.
The rules
- Our analysis is never for sale. Sponsors do not see, preview, approve or influence any charity page, rating, read or ranking.
- Every sponsorship is labeled “Sponsored” where it appears.
- Charities that sponsor us never appear as sponsors on any charity's review page, including their own and their competitors'. They may sponsor the newsletter and labeled spots on cause pages.
- A charity that has sponsored us says so on its own page, with the year, for as long as that page cites the sponsorship period.
- Other sponsors, such as giving platforms, financial advisers and estate-planning firms, may appear on any page, labeled.
- We charge flat fees for placements. We never take a percentage of donations, and we never process gifts on a charity's behalf. Donate links go straight to the charity or to a third-party giving platform.
- We can turn down any sponsor, and we will end a sponsorship that tries to influence our coverage.
