The trevor project participated in the federally funded 988 suicide & crisis lifeline. This project included two subnetworks: 988 suicide and crisis lifeline lgbtqi+ youth chat and text and 988 suicide and crisis lifeline lgbtqi + youth phones. Within the scope of this project, if an lgbtq+ young person dialed the 988 suicide & crisis lifeline and selected services for lgbtqi+ young people, they may have been routed to the trevor project's trained counselors, who were part of 988's lgbtqi+ youth specialized services network.
